Birthday weekend

The Jakobson family went camping again this past weekend.(phew we've been camping a lot this summer) This camping trip we do every year for my brother Cory's birthday! Of course we picked the coldest weekend to go and my head froze at night, but our luck it did warm up for us to take a nice hike and ride the dirt bike and the little kiddos rode Grant's awesome 4-wheeler.

Happy Birthday Cory! you've accomplished a lot in the past 20 plus 10 years and have produced the two cutest kids ever!

we found a great open area at the top of our hike to just sit and watch everyone ride the dirt bike. (we're missing Jenny the photographer, mom and Cory they were off watching Cory ride the dirt bike.)

I really wanted to try and ride it, but it was just a little too big and heavy... and a little scary. So the first time I started it and tried to take off I killed it and that was the end for me. Next year we need to get a smaller bike for us girls to ride.

Grant has had his gas power 4-wheeler since he was 2.5. and has really learned to ride it and he has only rolled it once. So he took Madelyn and Kole for rides on it and loved showing them how to ride it. He got tired and a little scared riding it down the mountain so I rode it down for him. Yes I'm a little to heavy for it and weigh it down a bit, but it was better than walking and everyone always gets a good laugh out of it.

I love camping with the family it's always a good time!

BIG NEWS!

I think we've called everyone, but if for some reason you didn't get a phone call I'm sorry!

But...................Josh got a job!! yay!!

He'll basically be working with the same material he was with his old job but he'll be learning more about setting up blue prints for the building and it's cooling/heating needs.

We are very excited for this opportunity for him to learn more and get him off that darn mower.( which we are VERY grateful he even had some type of job)

And yes we'll be moving out of the parentals house :)

update on our summer

Still no computer but I needed to blog so I used my work computer.

We went camping again this past weekend and had a great time with my family.

We did a lot of playing in the water and getting a lot of sun

it was so beautiful where we camped and the water was sooo warm and felt so good in the 100 degree weather.

One night after work my dad took us tubing, We haven't done that in a long time and we had such a blast. I love that we live so close to a lake and are able to do that

We also experienced the glow in the dark mini golf with our good friends. It was fun but maybe a only once a year thing.

So that has been our summer pretty much, playing in the sun, softball, camping and boating as much as possible.
Next goal: Josh finding a job and moving out

Willden Family Reunion

A couple of weekends ago we traveled down to Loveland, CO for the annual Willden Reunion. It was sooooo much fun and great to see all the texan family. We look forward to this every year! We really at a great time this year and I feel so much closer to everyone that came. We really miss everyone and can not wait till next years!

Beautiful Idaho Sunset. This was our view when we finally were able to get back on the road.

Long story, Our car broke down about 1.5 hour into our trip. We were stranded or a long time with little to no cell service. It was horrible and sooooo hot. Eventually my dad made his way down with the tow truck and switched us cars and 5 hours later we were on our way again. It set us back a lot but ending up working out great.

Broken

Josh and I have a broken laptop..so my blogging will be MIA until we can hopefully get it fixed!

My kind of weekend

We had another 3 day weekend this weekend! We started off the 4th of July weekend by floating the Boise River on Friday. That was sooooooo much fun to do especially floating it with some of my family made the day even better. That same night we went to our good friends Steve and Rachel's for their annual 4th of July bbq and hung out with more of our friends. Saturday we took our boat out, like we do every year , to the lake. except this year the person who was driving the boat off the trailer accidentally hit the throttle and drove the boat up and over the trailing and almost up onto the ramp! so the propeller is completely bent and same with the trailer. So we ending up just having a nice picnic and playing in the water. later we ending up just going to Cory and Jenny's pool and neighborhood bbq. That night we met up with some more friends and watched fireworks at Ann Morrison park. it was a great show!

It was so very hot on Saturday and Grant was getting over heated and bit grumpy, but Madelyn looked sooo darn cute in her outfit.

Then to end the weekend we were able to go to the blessing of baby Heston McIntyre. He is such a sweet happy baby and we love him so much. I'm so happy for Jill and Brad. it was also a good chance for us to catch up with our good friends Amber and Ross Sevy and their most adorable baby Brody. We really liked him. I love that my friends were blessed with such great kids. Some day I hope we get that lucky.

Willdefield roadtrip

Josh and I went for a long weekend with our good friend Boe and Charla to his dad's house in Sacramento. It was a much needed and relaxing weekend. We never had anything planned just hang out and chill. Boe's dad has a fabulous house and there was never a reason to leave. He had a great pool and a half court basketball and tennis court. Did i mention it was so stinking hot! We did go out at night for dinner and movies, but it was just nice to spend all day playing in his backyard.

The boys were trying to perfect diving together......they eventually got it down, but I didn't have enough space for all the pictures of them flipping.

I took so many pictures and really had an awesome weekend with our best friends. I didn't want to leave our own private resort but we all had to go to work early Monday morning.

Quick Update

-We have been living with my parents now for 3 months

-Happy birthday today to my bro-n-law Tyson( woot woot)

-Happy Fathers Day to my awesome Daddio and my father-n-law

-We are going on a much needed vacation to Sac- town with our friends

-Josh is still job hunting, we've had some good prospects though

Iron-Zander

our incredible friend Austin Zander did his first Ironman race. that is a swim, bike and run race. And it was POURING rain in Boise on Saturday. We stood out there for 4 hours in the rain cheering him on.

It took for ever to find a parking spot and i got a little ADD and took a lot of random pictures of us. :)

I made an awesome sign to encourage him to keep going.
this is the finish of the bike race part and there were a little over a thousand bikes for at least 2 blocks.

He finished the race in 6 hrs and 40 mins!! I heard someone say the first person to finish, finished in almost 4 hours!! that is nuts. I couldn't believe all the different people who were doing this race. I don't think I could do something like this. We did see a girl wreck on her bike and get a major road rash.

just our luck

Last thursday we were driving home from Boise and blew our tire on the interstate! Almost one week later we got a flat driving to boise. Same car but different tire. Really twice in one week! To add to our luck, my brother's wife got a flat last night and my parents car had a flat tire on Friday!

At least by now I know how to change a tire :)

obsessed

I am obsessed with this show! I can watch it all day everyday no matter it being their very first episode of their new one. Speaking of new episode, I was so anxious to watch it due to the huge ridiculous drama going on.....and let me tell you it was intense! Kate drove me nuts with her pity party ( which I didn't fall for) and they could've be a little more friendly towards each other, but hey it probably brought in huge ratings. So this past Monday it was a little better and Kate wasn't such a cry baby and the show wasn't as tense to watch.

Kate drives me crazy! She is way too involved with herself at the moment and needs to chill out and stop with all the media attention she has brought towards her family to only make more money.

And I don't think Jon cheated, he just wants to be himself and able to go out and be a normal human being. Just wrong place at the wrong time and only he and Kate know the truth.

Yes I will still stay obsessed with the show and on Monday nights schedule my night around the show ( crazy I know, josh tells me daily).

Birthdays weekend

Elena and dad's birthdays are 2 days apart so we usually have a pretty busy weekend celebrating both of them. Today we did Elena's birthday, which is actually Sunday, by going BOATING! It was actually a really nice memorial weekend and we were able to take the boat out and do..... some fun in the sun! I got a little too much sun, well I got REALLY burnt. I don't know what I was thinking going out for the first time with pasty skin.

Kole enjoyed watching and eating grapes, and us chillens enjoyed wake boarding in the FREEZING lake.

The day before we celebrated dad's birthday by going shooting. The boys all really enjoyed it, but us girls usually only shot a couple times and then the noise just gets too much for our ears, but it was still fun to go and watch who actually hit the clay pigeon.

He's here He's here! Heston Bradley McIntyre made his arrival last night. Weighting in at 7lbs 8 0z 22 inches long( well he has a little cone from the vacuum). He's gorgeous and I couldn't be more happy and proud of Jill for doing it all natural! I'M SO EXCITED!

so far he has more features of his daddy, but has a lot of jill in him. He's so precious and I could've snuggled with him all day.

FOUR

Today is this sweet boys 4th birthday

(this is the only young pic I could find of him on my comp 1.5 yrs) Today he is still a big boy and growing more and more each time I see him. He is just full of energy and wants to be just like his dad. He also says the funniest things that we can always get a laugh from. He still loves to play with your hair when he is tired or sick.

One year ago today.....

We got married and had the best time doing it! Josh took me out Saturday night for our anniversary. We went to the temple in the morning , and then the melting pot for dinner. We had never been there and both were pretty excited to experience it. Definitely not what I was expecting, but it was fun and romantic. we thought it was going to be all fondue, not make your own dinner. Then we walked a few more blocks downtown to go see a movie , but none were playing. So we called up the peeps and headed over to Steve and Rachel's house for a game night. And i got a horrible blister on my toe from walking around in my cute, but not practical shoes! Happy Anniversary Baby, I love you and can't believe the year that we had together!

movie night

We went to go see the x-men movie with these cool people, and their wives(not pictures) and some other awesome people we like to hang out with. And a report on the movie, I would say it was pretty good. I had no desire to see the movie or the other x-men movies, but to my surprise it was good.Taylor, Boe Boe and Joshy(best friends)

wahooz

Josh and I picked up this awesome kid and...... went to Wahooz (boondocks) for the afternoon and.....

He was soooooooooo excited and had so much fun winning all the games and getting the ticket and......

Josh seemed to mesh right in with all the kids there, it was a lot of fun and I found a game that I got addicted to and I.......

won soooooo many tickets. This one game spit out a ton of tickets with no effort on my part except for dropping in the token, it was so much fun. When we were done there were went to eat and headed back to his house and.....

it was a successful day! he was exhausted when he got in the car. Josh and I really enjoyed taking our awesome nephew Grant out to the afternoon and spend time just with him. We are excited for the other little guys to get a little older so we can take them out.

Shower for baby boy

Jill had a baby shower and it was a lot of fun. I was able to chat with peeps I haven't seen in a while. Jill got some really great gifts and had the yummiest food, which isn't a shock.

He has gotten so big in her belly and she looks beautiful. She is a happy pregnant lady who doesn't mind being pregnant. I love her being pregnant and able to watch her grow and feel him in her belly, but I'm also ready for a new baby to be around. I love the grunts and the new baby smell. We are all awaiting his arrival in about 3 weeks or so.

I love him so much and he's not even here yet!
