Oh how I LOVE Idaho fall!! it's gorgeous all over the state. We had Grant, Madelyn and Kole over this weekend and Grant really wanted to rake Grandma's leaves and then play in them. Who can say no to that fun, so we raked and the kiddos never wanted to come back inside. Josh jumped in the pile and the boys were all over him! it was so fun. ( does everyone see what body part Kole is running over! hahaha poor Josh.)

Also the whole family came over and carved pumpkins and eat homemade stew. mmmmm so good!

I bought these beauties last night and I'm in love with them. Yes they are 4 inch heels and i'm a little over 5'9", but they are fabulous and want to wear them everyday. (I actually bought them in metallic silver, but you can see the details better in the purple picture)

Really

It's really dark in the morning on my way to work and then when I get to work it's really slow! Needless to say it's really hard for me to get up and get motivated in the morning. At least my coworkers are always entertaining.

Home away from home

the Jakobson clan (minus Brent and Elena) all loaded up into two cars and made the LONG drive to California for a week. First stop was in Fresno for my beautiful cousin Carissa's wedding. The wedding was lots of fun and intimate. We had lots of fun. After Fresno we traveled farther south to Avila Beach. My family used to go to this beach once or twice a year ever since I could remember. So it was nice to go again and take Josh to all my favorite spots.

We had a condo right on the beach so we all played in the ocean and sand. It did end of raining most of the week, which was a bummer ,but us ladies sure did get a lot of shopping done! :)

We needed to wasted time before the ceremony started so we found this amusement park that had mini golf, race cars, bumper boats and little kid fair rides. it was a blast!



It was a fun week to hang out with the fam. I was only able to work 4 days in between Hawaii and this trip so I'm all traveled out and ready to unpack my suitcase for awhile.

Mother dear

Happy Birthday Mom!! today is my wonderful mom's birthday. She is an incredible woman and I love her so much. She does so much for her family and loves to spoil each one of us kids and especially her grand babies! She is a great lady which is a good thing cause I take a lot of her traits. :) she's very funny, smart, beautiful and very thoughtful. I love her and glad she brought me into this world and always there for all my doings.

Grace Face

We just wanted our great friend Rachel to know that we didn't forget about Grace's birthday! she turned 2 on the 2nd. She is the sweetest, funniest and most beautiful little girl and we love her and glad that she was the first baby born into the group of friends. hopefully one day she'll have some friends to play with.

work or play....play!

My work took us to Hawaii for a dental convention. The convention was only three our of the8 days we were there so we played in the sun a lot!!!

We snorkeled at Haunama Bay. it was incredible and I saw a ton of tropical fish.

we rented a car and drove up the north shore and stopped at a ton of different interesting places.

we saw a bunch of cars stopped so we stopped and saw this huge turtle just basking in the sun! I actually think is was turtle bay we were at.

also stopped at Waimea bay and it was BEAUTIFUL and so peaceful. We swam a lot and one of the doctors jumped off the rock in the picture.

same day we stopped at the famous shaved ice place that is always on the food network! i was so very excited and it was really yummy.

Dole Plantation. who knew that pineapples grew out of a shrub? I was so fascinated by it. And some of them were so tiny and PINK!

Another day we spent all day at the Polynesian Culture Center! it was incredible experience. So much culture to learn about, amazing dancers and food!

Hiked Diamond Head. It was very very very hot and humid. It was harder because of those elements but totally worth it when we got to the top and saw the view.

I had the best time in Hawaii, missed Josh like crazy, but still enjoyed myself and recomend that everyone someday will go there and experience it!

boys will be boys

We hang out a lot with our best friends Boe and Charla! We love them and usually when we get together Boe and Josh end up in some sort of game or competition and char and I get left out to just watch. we looked our the window the other day and saw the two boys playing darts by seeing how far outside the "man cave" they can throw and hit the target. They are so entertaining! A few weekends ago Boe got all four of us tickets to the Boise Golf Open. Boys were super excited girls would've rather gone shopping. It ended up being so much fun to walk to course and cheer the players on. it almost felt like we were at a pro golf game, but these guys were playing in hopes to play one day with Tiger Woods!

I'm back

I'm back from my fabulous trip to Hawaii and now my sleep is all off schedule! I'll post pictures soon. Aloha

It's that time of the year

This time of year the air is getting a little crisper and the grass and leaves aren't as green, and we all know what that means....the worst time of the year! Every fall Josh's two favorite things happen.......
1. Football season is upon us!! Now I don't mind watch and cheering for our teams, but when that is all he talks about and wants to watch I get a little tired of it.
2. Hunting season! Josh, his brother and dad are really into hunting. last year he didn't really go cuz we were in Bozeman. So this year he feels like he has to make up for missing last year and got all the time. I basically won't see him till the end of the year.

I hope that everyone saw the VMA awards last night to witnessed the rudeness of Kanye West. He totally stole the spot light away from a very sweet Taylor Swift. It makes me not like him even more. Good to know that after his seen they told him to leave the building! Watch to video clip and get ready to be mad at him.

I leave for Hawaii in 2 weeks! I'm getting more excited for the trip. We have an idea of places we'll go everyday, but I want to know were that best beaches to visit and places to eat and shop. If anyone has any good tips let me know! We'll be on Honolulu.

Trial run

Josh and I watched our niece and nephew all weekend! phew....it was never a dull moment! To get out of the house we went to the zoo on Saturday. It has been years since Josh or I have been there, and they sure have upgraded the Boise Zoo. It's way better that I ever remember it to be.

We got lunch first and had a picnic in the park and walked in the rose garden and then heading into the Zoo. It was so very hot and there were a ton a people. Grant loved to see everything , but in a hurry to move one to the next animal and Mady just sat on Josh's shoulders and made her monkey sound at every animal she saw. (very funny)

It was a lot of work having a 4 yr old and 18 month old. they both were always moving and making a ton of noice, but they were so good and fun to play with. And they both are sooo sweet and make us smile all the time.

it's nice that we get to practice on our niece and nephews. I think we might be a little more prepared when we eventually have our own.

where did time go

Is it just me or did summer fly by at max speed?
I feel like I'm still waiting for August to get here, and it's already come and gone.
Geesh the older I get the faster time flies.
It's kinda sad

Birthday weekend

The Jakobson family went camping again this past weekend.(phew we've been camping a lot this summer) This camping trip we do every year for my brother Cory's birthday! Of course we picked the coldest weekend to go and my head froze at night, but our luck it did warm up for us to take a nice hike and ride the dirt bike and the little kiddos rode Grant's awesome 4-wheeler.

Happy Birthday Cory! you've accomplished a lot in the past 20 plus 10 years and have produced the two cutest kids ever!

we found a great open area at the top of our hike to just sit and watch everyone ride the dirt bike. (we're missing Jenny the photographer, mom and Cory they were off watching Cory ride the dirt bike.)

I really wanted to try and ride it, but it was just a little too big and heavy... and a little scary. So the first time I started it and tried to take off I killed it and that was the end for me. Next year we need to get a smaller bike for us girls to ride.

Grant has had his gas power 4-wheeler since he was 2.5. and has really learned to ride it and he has only rolled it once. So he took Madelyn and Kole for rides on it and loved showing them how to ride it. He got tired and a little scared riding it down the mountain so I rode it down for him. Yes I'm a little to heavy for it and weigh it down a bit, but it was better than walking and everyone always gets a good laugh out of it.

I love camping with the family it's always a good time!

BIG NEWS!

I think we've called everyone, but if for some reason you didn't get a phone call I'm sorry!

But...................Josh got a job!! yay!!

He'll basically be working with the same material he was with his old job but he'll be learning more about setting up blue prints for the building and it's cooling/heating needs.

We are very excited for this opportunity for him to learn more and get him off that darn mower.( which we are VERY grateful he even had some type of job)

And yes we'll be moving out of the parentals house :)

update on our summer

Still no computer but I needed to blog so I used my work computer.

We went camping again this past weekend and had a great time with my family.

We did a lot of playing in the water and getting a lot of sun

it was so beautiful where we camped and the water was sooo warm and felt so good in the 100 degree weather.

One night after work my dad took us tubing, We haven't done that in a long time and we had such a blast. I love that we live so close to a lake and are able to do that

We also experienced the glow in the dark mini golf with our good friends. It was fun but maybe a only once a year thing.

So that has been our summer pretty much, playing in the sun, softball, camping and boating as much as possible.
Next goal: Josh finding a job and moving out
