willden reunion 2014

that time of the year came that us willdens all got together for a long weeknd camping. we went to navajo state park in colorado this year.

All clean and ready to drive the 13 hour drive

it was so so hot as you can tell from our sweaty faces and little to no trees!

 his cousins brought their boat and we were right on the water so we played and cooled off tha way. it was a lot of fun and owen LOVED playing with his cousins in the water

Hailey thought she needed to get up real early every morning! we were not as amused as she was

 on the boat, he really did love it just not me taking pictures all the time

 the kids slept SO good! hailey passed out every night around 8ish and owen stayed up partying till he dropped, usually around 10 or so! they played hard that weekend and slept all night too.

 he NEVERS lets me clip his finger nails without a fight and he let Jake clip them without a fuss

 she had to take naps wherever, she was a trooper

 before he did a little walk the ranger lady got our a bunch of furs and skeletons to educate the kids with and they loved every minute of it. and they all became junior rangers. here are most of the little cousin, missing some.

 the mosquito's were SO SO bad! this picture does not do justice to how bad owen's face got eaten by them! and yes we both were constantly spraying them with bug spray but it was almost like the bugs liked it!

 the sleeping on the way home! they passed out pretty quickly after getting into the car and slept awhile....and then the melt downs began and we stoppe in utah for the night.

 we got home and hailey came back with a sick bug of some sort. she kinda had the flu but she was also getting 5 teeth at the same time and 4 out of the 5 teeth were her molars. she was a bit cranky on the trip because of that reason but she did come home with the flu too. poor baby. and then owen got it and then josh got it

We had the best time! we always have the best time hanging out with our family. we love all of them and so happy to spend time with them. sad we only get to see the majority of them once a year. til next year Willden family.

I love these two! aren't they just the cutest things ever

 hard to tell but in a 12 hour period hailey managed to get two huge bruises on opposite sides of her forehead! she is a bit crazy

 summer night swims plus no nap earlier plus playing late with his besty next door equals owen passing out on the driveway. he was out cold, he was even snoring! this kid lives for the summer.

 Hailey was swinging at willden grandparents house and got stung right between the eyes! she didn't even cry or anything. it swelled pretty good when it happened and we put some medicine on it and the next morning you couldn't even see it.

We are loving our summer and so sad it's already august and the summer is coming to and end soon. till then we are going to enjoy our hot days and nights and bein outside until we can't anymore.

fathers day 2014

i love so many things about josh and on of the most is how wonderful of a dad he is to our two kids! we had a low key fathers day. the kids got him some new golf shoes and we had a great dinner with my dad at my parent's house that night.  a bike ride was planned for the day but that didn't end up happening do to too many things going wrong, ha ha!

our summer days....

our summer days have been spent at our pool! so grateful to live just down the street from a gorgeous pool that usually isn't very busy the time of day we go. owen has become quite the fish, swims under water and not afraid of the deep end with his arm wings on. so proud of him and all self taught! Hailey has no fear of the water and will go till she drowns. she is a lot of work at the pool, but put a life jacket on her and solves a lot of issues.

 owen's best friend and neighbor Ava S. We spend a lot of time together and we love it!

 friends and cousins spend a lot of time with us at the pool and we welcome them with open arms. more fun for all!

4th of july 2014

I LOVE the 4th of july! we started the day with the parade in caldwell with some of the kids and my mom. it was fun,the kids got lots of candy and enjoyed themselves. But if was SO hot that we were all dying by the end of the parade at 10:30!

 after the parade josh, me and my mom took the 4 kids out to the lake in the boat.

 (out of order) after our BBQ gma had some fun sparklers and such for the kids to do and yes Cory, jenny and grant were there but Grant had 3 baseball games that day so we didn't see them till dinner time. Grant is a baseball stud!

we had a long, packed day but it was so much fun! 

summer has arrived

we've been having nice weather for awhile now and the other day it got up to 87! we met amanda and the boys at the park and the splash pad was open and the boys took their shirts off and had the greatest time! hailey eventually joined them and LOVED it.

 we got home and owen spotted his besties Ava at our pool so i for went naps and we went to the pool for the afternoon. owen had the best time but sweet hailey still isn't feeling well from her teeth that she didn't really like it she probably would have liked a long nap instead.

after some naps josh got home and that night we walked to the park in our neighborhood and swang but it was so hot we didn't last long

i'm SO happy that the pool is open and owen can get some engergy out! we love the pool and friends in the hot summer days!

one year stats

she is our petite lil girl, she's actually average weight and height but compared to owen she is tiny.
20 pounds
28 inchs

naps twice a day

three bottles of whole milk a day usually right befor nap

really only eats what we are eating. tried peanut butter and jelly sandwichs and she loved them

she can eat! not sure where it's going though

sleeps 12+ hours a night

binky is still her biggest friend

walks like a champ all the time. one weekend she just decided to stop using crawling as her crutch and walk. she may be trying to run but that's not working out so well for her head

she got her 4 top teeth all at once! it has been awful but i'm glad she got 4 at once! she has been real sad and sick with them coming in. the last one just broke throuh a couple of days ago so i'm hoping she is be her happy self again soon.
