Molding

When Boe was a few weeks old we had him come down to the office and tried to make molds of his hands and feet. He HATED it and cried so loud. Unfortunately we got the molds but not really good ones.

New stuff

I FINALLY have a Bogus Ski pass!! I've been wanting one for years and years and everyone in my family and friends always have one. We were always jealous that they could go skiing whenever and we couldn't afford to go. NOW...we are free to go whenever.

I cut out my fabric strips for my huge quilt I'm making. It took about 2 hours and the excitement was wearing off towards then end, but I'm now excited to start sew all 56 blocks I need to make! yup I have to sew 56 12x12 blocks! This quilt might take longer then I thought.

I'm guilty

I'm guilty of being obsessed with watching the Bachelor this season. First off Jake is super cute and the ladies are out of control to watch. I don't know what he sees in Vienna, maybe he's just keeping her around for entertainment. She's crazy.

I can't believe all the drama that has happen this season and I'm totally pulling for Miss Tenley. She's so cute and NORMAL!

It makes my mondays just a little happier!

L-O-V-E

For Valentines day this year we didn't really celebrate it. It doesn't bother me, we just act like it was any other weekend. So Friday night our group of friends went to Tuscono's for a birthday dinner. We got the Valentines Dinner and at the end I got a rose. It was beautiful and smelt so good. I joked with Josh that he got me a rose and didn't even know it. :) On Sunday we spent the morning in bed just relaxing ( much needed). I made my cute hubby some heart shaped pancakes. I think they turned out super cute and I was pretty proud of myself.

Surprise Surprise... Josh got us tickets to this AWESOME band for our anniversary in May. I LOVE Sugarland and am soooooooooooo excited to go!

I love my sweet husband and grateful for all he does for us.

PS.. I'm making a big quilt so I'll keep you posted on how that goes

one of those days...or months

I'm so exhausted physically and mentally with everything going on in our life right now. I need a vacation real bad. Our annual ski trip can't come soon enough. I just feel so Blah. Maybe I'll take tomorrow off :)

so much to look at

We went to a wedding reception on Saturday and before we got into the room we had a bunch of people telling us the the decorations were so awesome. I walked into the room and was in wonder of everything. Her colors were black and green and they played with all sorts of patterns and textures. the wall behind the line and cake were so impressive. I want to get married again just so I can copy this design. :)

Josh and Kole were done being there until Kole found some girls to dance with. He's such a stud.

What better way to start off the month of February then celebrating Tyson's big Birthday!! we went to lunch with him today and Cory's says " Man it's like old times with all of us here, no kids or spouses or anything." It was just the original jakobson family . it was really nice. I know we are all getting old but in my head us kids aren't getting old. Today looking around the table at lunch I realize that we aren't staying to same age forever, we're getting old and growing up.

Celebrate

This month has been a weird one. It went by fast, but I don't remember doing a hole lot....hmmm. In the mist of all this we had two birthdays to celebrate!

Happy Birthday to my super awesome bestie sister n law Amanda! She's now closer to 30 then 20 :) i love her so much and we have become such good friends and we always have a good laugh together!
Then a couple weeks later we celebrated Brent's birthday! He just became a new dad is loving every minute of it. He's so weird and funny and I'm grateful he's my big brother.

Baby Cooper

Josh's friends Tyler and Melissa Gilmore, I had posted about them and the baby that they are caring has a lot of problems. They knew that there was a huge chance that he wasn't going to make it past delivery. They still trucked along the pregnancy with always a smile and positive attitudes. What great examples. At around 25 weeks she was measuring 35 weeks due to a lot of fluid around they baby and him not developing correctly. She was put on strict bed rest and the doctors hoped to get her to 30 weeks measuring 40 weeks. Well around 28 weeks Melissa went into labor with baby Cooper. Our friend Steve let us know last night that Cooper was delivered and passed away shortly after.

(from Melissa's facebook) Today Melissa went into labor and Cooper Thomas was born at 8:47am and weighed 2.7 lbs and 12 inches long. Shortly after his birth Cooper passed away in Tys arms and entered into Gods loving embrace. Melissa had a c-section and is doing very well, God had His hand on her the whole time. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers

It makes you think about how much it takes for the human body to make a healthy baby. He was a very loved baby and he had parents that were in great spirits, at least from what we saw. They know that he will be with Heavenly Father and that he had a greater plan for him and his parents. My heart is just aching for them.

random weekend

We have all been trying to get Elena to get her ears pierced since she's been with my brother. So for Christmas Brent gave her some pearl earrings. So it looked like she had to face it and pierce her ears. We went down to Norman jewelers and Dan pierced them. The first shot took her off guard and kinda hurt. Someone told her that if she can give birth she can get her ears pierced. it was great fun. Saturday Josh and I decided to go skiing at Bogus. Bad idea. I was so crowded, super super foggy and snowing, the kind that sticks to your goggles. At least we tried.

That night we watched Kole and all he wanted to do was Josh to play hoops with him or he wanted to wear his skis. He's so much fun!

We also went on a date and met up with Boe and Char and went to see Sherlock Holmes. Super good movie, everyone should see it.

Nothing else new still at mom and dads, yes we are looking for a place to live. We both just work a lot and try to spend time with friends and family.

#124

#124 is the 10x10 storage unit that holds about 95% of our life! We took a huge load over to put in it on Saturday and it just kinda depressed us that our life is in the storage unit and we are starting to forget what we even have. I miss my stuff! hopefully not too much longer, hopefully.

Fight fight BSU!! yay the Bronco's won the Fiesta Bowl last night!!!! I was a little nervous that we might loose, but we pulled out and had a great last quarter. It was very nerve racking! Baby Boe supporting his team!

Koles Birthday was Thursday and we all went over to celebrate. I can't believe my little nephew is already 2! Time goes by fast and it's not even my kid. We love him so much and he always says the cutest things. Happy Birthday Kole Bears

Celebrate good times come on...

Happy New Year! Celebrating this year was a hundred times more fun then last year by ourselves in Montana. The whole gang (minus the Benedick's) Went to nampa bowl and had such a great time bowling and just laughing a lot!


Everyone that went bowling. Taylor and Josh making classic faces. And apparently Kristy and Loni are the only ones that saw me taking a picture. We seriously have the best friends!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I was so exciting to let go and have a good night with friends.

I can't believe the past year Josh and I have had with moving from Montana into my parents house. Finding new jobs and trying to make things come together for us. I'm so grateful for the greatest family and friends and the memories we have made. I know 2010 will be greater and I CAN NOT wait to see what happens this year! Bring it on 2010!

Baby Boe

Boe James was given a blessing on Sunday by his Dad and it was beautiful. I was able to get there early and take some newborn pictures of Boe and his parents. He's such a good baby and he's so loved.

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, because I know we did! I got everything I wanted and more. Josh made out pretty good with gifts this year as well. We had our annual big family christmas eve party and then to the Willden's for gifts. Christmas morning we were able to wake up and open some gifts and then the rest of my family came over and finished with the gifts. Christmas is so much more entertaining with little kids opening their gifts and being so excited! Josh and his sweet ski helmet.

I'm beyond beyond excited about my new Cannon Camera and two lenses!! If you need pictures taken just call me :) Now I just need to learn how to really use it.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

One year older and....

It was my birthday on the 18th! Having so much family around I was able to celebrate my birthday all weekend long. It was fabulous :) Friday night Josh and I went to dinner and were going to go to the movies but it started late and we were both so tired, so we came home and just relaxed. (we're such an old married couple) Saturday night my family got together and we ate a lot of food and made a lot of noise. I love it! My brother was taking a lot of pictures of me and this is my "ok enough already " face. A little scary I know.

p.s. My new nephew's name is Boe James Jakobson and he's doing great!

He has arrived

My brother and his wife Elena just had their big baby boy Wednesday. He was a day late and they went ahead and induced her, but she had a real good labor and a pretty fast one. He has no officialy name yet ,but he weighs in at 8.12 and 22 inches! Who would've thought little Elena would have birthed such a big baby.

He's so cute and wants to eat all the time. He came out hungry :)

He has quite a bit of dar brown hair and some definite eyebrows. (thanks to my mom's side of the family)



She is a proud mother and has such a new glow and wonderful change about her. I love her and sooooooooo proud of her for being strong. CONGRATS Brent and Elena!!!

annual ugly sweater christmas party

Our best friends Boe and Charla host the annual ugly Christmas party! Everyone comes dressed in the most hideous Christmas outfits and we eat a ton and play games. It was a lot of fun this year, we haven't laughed that hard in a long time. We exchange white elephant gifts and we were lucky enough to get this gorgeous blue thing. I might put fruit in it, maybe just maybe :)

I finally finished Josh's stocking. I had started it over a year ago and just now finishing it. I looks beautiful and I'm very proud of it.

Boe and Charla have a great dane ( the one on the left) and they are also babysitting their friends great dane( the black one) . They have about 300 pounds of dog in their house!! They kept of pretty entertained.

november till now

We had a great thanksgiving. Dinner with a ton of family, making teepees out of tortillas, bowling and ending the night with gingerbread houses. I did go out on "black friday" and got some really great deals. I was very sick with the flu they whole week so that was miserable, but I tried to make the best of it on Thanksgiving. we got our christmas tree and it's beautiful.

Special Spirit

Josh's good friend from college and his adorable wife found out after 5 years of marriage that they were expecting a little baby. We are all so very excited for them and found out monday that it's a boy! They have named him Cooper. At the same ultrasound they found out not so good news about Cooper...

Good Morning, here is whats going on. Our son, who we have named Cooper has a condition called Arthrogryposis, it is a rare congenital disorder that is characterized by multiple joint contractures and can include muscle weakness and fibrosis. basically Coopers little arms and legs are not forming correctly. He also has severe scoliosis. Also his chest cavity is very small and his lungs are not developing...
They worry that if he makes it to birth he will not be able to breath on his own. Cooper is now fighting for his life and we are going to have big decisions in the days and months ahead. I can not express to you the pain we are feeling right now, but we also feel a peace knowing we gave this baby to God in the beginning and will continue to give Cooper to Him daily. Thank you for all the prayers and support.

I don't know what to say to them to make the situation better, but we are deeply sad for them , but we know that they gave that baby a body and he will do his work here on this earth and return to our heavenly father when his time come.

Results are...

New Moon was AMAZING!!! It was a lot better than the first and not to mention Jacob is pretty good looking. Us girls couldn't stop talking about the whole movie. Again is was AMAZING!
