18 months

Owen turned 18 months earlier this month. This is a pretty fun stage so far. he is getting more independent and fun to play with. not to mention he is starting to communicate!

But no worries he is still full of attitude and a huge personality.

stats:

25.12 lbs (really good for as sick as he has been with teething)

and still a sweet big head

he is still a big boy and growing fast.

he says about 10 words and a few others that really only i can understand.

he tells me yes or no with a shake of his head or finger

finally has 12 teeth!

loves to give high fives and knuckles

still sleeps 12 hours or more with one long nap in the afternoon

almost done with bottles at night. really  good about drinking milk from his sippy

He is very adventurous and loves to play and run.

gives the best kisses to his momma

LOVES going to nursery and getting so much better during church.

and sadly he is a hitter and scratcher. he is a wee bit of a bully :(  We are trying to change that quickly!!

We had our first trip to the Emergency Room (Sept 9)

that weekend Owen had been real sick with flu like symptoms so i decided that him and i were going to stay home from Church on Sunday. Josh and Owen had gone upstairs for Josh to get ready for church and I heard a loud crash! i ran upstairs and Josh was holding Owen's hand in the sink with blood running everywhere! My heart sank!

owen had pushed on my floor length mirror that was leaning on the wall in our closet and the middle broke out and all came crashing down. Owen's finger got the worst of it. Lucky boy. I decided that to the Emergency room we went.

 they opted to "glue" the cut instead of stitches because it was less work/traumatic for the baby.

 his bloody finger after we left. he did get a sweet scratch on his forehead too.

 this is his finger 5 days after wards. the glue was suppose to last 9 days but only last 5 hours!! so from there we just kept it clean and put a band aid on it. it's still pretty swollen and finally stopped bleeding. he will have a sweet little scar. i think they should have just stitch it!

We have been so busy with activities that i decided to do a picture post to show what we have been up to the last few weeks.

dirty dirty 2012

The other weekend josh and i ran the Dirty Dash again. it was a lot of fun and a lot more dirty this year. Josh's work put together a little team and i was the other girl. those men sure do know how to get real muddy!

Jakobson camping trip 2012

this year Cory picked to go camping in Mccall for his birthday/ family camp trip

it had been a long time since i had camped in Mccall. it was so beautiful and SO much fun. I love being with my family. We were missing two important people though, Brent and my dad!

 Owen is getting all 4 molars at once so he was VERY sick and whinny/clingy. he cared less about everything!!

 second day at the lake we rented jet skis and took the boat out. so much fun. Josh had never been on a jet ski before and he was having too much fun on them.

 Mark was too tired he had a sweet nap at the lake. he was a sicky boy that weekend too.

Even though Owen had a horrible fever and was beyond whinny and running our patience very thin we still had a great time in Mccall with my family.

Cory, Tyson and my sis n law Elena all did the tri-athlon in Emmett the other weekend. it was great being there to support them in there amazing accomplishments. plus tyson and his family were in town for the weekend and we all like spending time with them

so sorry i don't have a picture of Elena, but she did awesome for her FIRST big race! it was a ton of fun the all be together and spend some fun family time.

willden's unite

it was that time of the year again when all of us Willden's come together and camp. we went to Wymoning again and it was fun. the weather was hot during the day and super cold at night. Owen was teething and was super clingy and whinny! but towards the end of the week he had made friends with the other boys and was in heaven.

the first morning there Owen woke up at 5:45 am!! crazy kid. he was up and ready to do something. mom and dad were not!

 Owen and his buddy cousin Aaron! yes Owen is sucking/chewing on a lemon. must feel good on his gums.

We had such a great time just relaxing and getting caught up on every one's lives. till next year Wild Willdens

 this is how we are spending our summer!

A FEW POSTS BELOW

quick trips

Owen and I just did two quick trips back to back and i am exhausted!

first was a camping trip at Red Fish. it  has been a few years since i am been there and let my say just how gorgeous that place is. I love to camp and it did not disappoint.

the day after we got there we went on a hike to 4th of july falls. Josh wasn't able to come camping so i was on my own. so on the hike i had to carry Owen the 1.5 mile in and out in the back pack!it was quite the hikea and he is heavy and my shoulders were super sore the next day, but i didn't complain.....till now!

 Grant had a little backpack with his fishing pole sticking out of the back. he is so cute! and then me and my big boy ready to hike!

 the mesquitos were not super bad at camp but on the hike they were HORRIBLE! maddy got a huge bite right on her cheek!

 at the end of the hike was the lake. Grant caught his first fish and was so excited about it.

Trip #2
so i got home Friday night and Saturday morning we left for Redmond, Oregon! Josh has a good friend who was getting married and we had planned this trip for awhile. it was a nice get away to the beautiful oregon country. OWen did pretty good in the car considering all the traveling he had done days before.

we ran out of diapers in the diaper bag and Owen had a stinking issue! i felt bad so we changed his and i made a "diaper" out of my diaper holder. he thought is his funny and i was praying he didn't pee!

 the wedding was gorgeous! it was at his family ranch which is breathe taking! seriously is didn't want to leave. they had a very country themed wedding but it was done with such elegance and chic!

now i am exhausted from driving a ton and not sleeping in my bed!
