First Snow

it snowed a little on Sunday ( that's josh cool work van) then a lot last night

and it's awesome! I can't remember the last time there was snow on the ground for Thanksgiving.

I'm officially listening to Christmas music now.

Sick day

josh had been real sick most of last week. Sunday he was still feeling yucky so he decided to take Monday off to relax his body. It was really nice to have him home and spend the whole day just the two of us doing random things together. I love him!

Hunting

Every fall Josh and his brother and Dad are all about hunting. i no longer have my Saturday's with my husband. So i figured before I get too big and it gets too cold i'll go out hunting with them and see what it's all about. it was a beautiful fall day and i got a lot of much needed exercise. this is Jake. It's amazing to watch the dogs let loose and hunt for birds.

unfortunately the 4 hours walking in the morning we really didn't see much. which is very unusual for the boys. After lunch Lance met up with us and we went out for another few hours and had a lot better luck hunting pheasants. I had a lot of fun being out with the boy! i would definitely do it again. I was extremely tired that night and slept really well.

BIG

i'm in my 6th month and feeling great. i'm growing quite the baby belly!! I'm also running out of my cute clothes to wear, it makes me a little sad.

We also just found out that our little guy is going to have another BOY cousin, that will make 6 boy cousins and ONE sweet princess for the Jakobson side.

i was looking at one of my pregnancy blog websites and they had posted a bunch of funny jokes and this one i can relate to now!

Fall colors

Saturday morning, while Josh was hunting again, I was at mom's helping watch Grant and Madelyn. They really look forward to racking mom's leaves in her front lawn.It was just a crisp morning and the leaves were such a beautiful yellow and orange colors just covering the whole lawn. it was fun!

Baby update:
He is doing great, no problems at all. The dr thought she had a profile picture at my appt today(23 wks), but he quickly moved and we couldn't get another good shot of his sweet face!so we stillhave no profil picture of him, stubborn boy! He isn't shy about being a boy! and he is moving so much and it feels so great to see and feel him moving. He was having a party in my stomach the other night and Josh was able to feel him move for quite awhile. It was a special moment for us. if he keeps growing like he is chances are we will probably have a good size baby! oh no!

twenty-seven

Another year older and wiser too, happy birthday Joshy! His birthday was on Sunday, but we spent the whole weekend celebrating him. Friday night we went out with our friends the Lobbs and Zanders to Tucanos. So good and so much fun. afterwards us and the Lobbbs went to the movies to end the night! Saturday was the bsu game at 1:30 in the afternoon so my family got all together to watch the game and to open presents for Josh.

Sunday, his actual birthday, we went to his parent's house. on Saturday i gave him his presents, but I wanted to save one for him to open on Sunday. I gave him this little little BSU jersey for our little guy! Josh LOVED it and is so excited to have him wear it next season.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH! you are the best husband I could ever ask for and my best friend. I know you are going to make the best dad in a few months.

Trick or Treat

to start off i didn't blog about our annual jakobson carving pumpkin party. we usually do it the sunday before halloween and everyone comes over to mom and dad's to eat stew and carve pumpkins. The little kids do their trick or treating then as well. G-ma always has a cute little Halloween bag for each of the grandbabies. Our little guy even got a little something this year.

Boe the monkey!our good friends the Lobb's always host a Halloween party and it never fails that we always have a blast dressing up and having a ton of laughs with each other.

At the last minute i ditched our original costume ideas and came up with being Car Fresheners. I think they turned out pretty awesome and i was proud of myself for making them last minute.

Jakobson Family

a month or so ago i took my brother and his cute family pictures. The park was so so crowded that Boe could've cared less about the camera, but i think we got some good pictures still.

Baby Shot

So here i am a little over half way done with the pregnancy! Crazy how time is flying by before we know it it will be March!

I feel a lot larger then i look in the pictures, but I know I will really get BIG faster soon.
Also to document for me to remember he is sitting REAL low with his head down and his legs all stretched out. At our 19 wks ultra sound he was facing my spine and wouldn't move for us to get a good shot of his face and when we left he was moving a lot. We might have a stubborn one on our hands. thanks to my great sister n law Amanda i now have some cute regular jeans to wear that actually fit me.

Las Vegas

After long months of waiting Josh and I finally went to Vegas to visit Tyson and Amanda and to just relax and have a sweet vacation before the baby comes.

We did a lot of cuddling with Lukey and Kole was over the moon to have us there playing with him. when we arrived he latched onto Josh which is so not normal for him to be super cuddling like that.

Cesar's palace was gorgeous and a town within the hotel!

Tyson lives really close to the Hoover Dam, so we took and tour and walked around the greatness of the Dam! this bridge was the new drive through for cars. It was HUGE!


We of course ate at in n out Burger several times. Baby craved the chocolate milkshakes! Kole isn't the biggest fan of hamburgers so we drove thru and got him chicken nuggets from wendy's.

Back in August when i just went to vegas Amanda and I hit up the amazing outlet mall by their house. So naturally we did some more shopping and our little man made out like a bandit with clothes. gotta love outlet prices on top of sales!

While done on the strip we visited a pretty awesome aquarium at Mandalay Bay! Kole was in heaven with all the sharks and fish to see and touch.

Just so happens that the same weekend we have been planning on going to visit was Tyson's White coast ceremony for being a P.A. He was pretty exciting to have family there to support him and we are so proud of all the things he as already accomplished with school.


We had a great time and really miss having Tyson and Amanda here with us all the time, but it just leaves us an excuse now to go to Vegas more often.

I almost forgot to document my first pregnancy CANKLES while in vegas. with the heat and being on my feet all day by night I had normal toes attached to tree trunks. I was happy to come home and see my ankles again!

start of Fall

mom's birthday was on the 8th, so the next day we got together to celebrate her. Some of us went to the pumpkin patch earlier in the day. it was so much fun. They had a lot more activities then I remember them having before.

Mom, Jen and Josh were determined how to figure out this little maze where you couldn't take any left turns. it was pretty entertaining to watch them. They never did figure it out! Josh's little tag a long. Mads and Grant both really like josh, and he is always wanting to play with them.

we watched to pig races, took a tractor ride, little kids rode the cow train and at the very end we got some pumpkins.

how could I forget the HUGE bouncy thing! It was a ton of fun and a big work out for me!


Next year we'll be able to take our little guy there!

starting early

I love disney movies and this classic movie finally came to DVD. I bought it and thought I might as well start stocking up on the classic movies for my own kids to watch and enjoy, just like I did growing up.

Surprise

Last night I surprised Josh with tickets to the Brad Paisley concert! we weren't planning on going, bu i kept hearing it on the radio and really wanted to go so about two hours before the show i bought the tickets and waited for josh to get home from Twin Falls to tell him! the concert was AMAZING! Best concert I've been too yet!

a kid again

A couple of weeks ago i babysat Grant and Madelyn. We made a huge fort that we all sat in and ate our mac n cheese while watching cartoons. Super fun! immediately after dinner we had to fix popcorn and watch a movie! Madelyn acourse wanted to watch a princess movie! Grant was VERY concerned about watching to make sure I made the popcorn correct! He's not mad, he's just wouldn't take his eyes off the machine. I always love to play with the kids and feel so loved by them.

early delivery

I saw this crib online at a store i was thinking i could never afford anything from! I was thinking it was too early to be buying big stuff for the baby but, i fell in love and lucky for us the crib was on a GREAT sale and free shipping! So i bought it and it came in the mail, we put it together and It's BEAUTIFUL and and I'm so excited to be getting baby stuff! It's real, we are actually having a baby!

Our crib is a darker stain then the crib in the picture, but you get the idea. We find out the gender in a few weeks and then the fun begins with decorating and bedding!

off it went

As much as i love long hair and wish so bad that my thin damaged hair looks good long, it doesn't and I face the fact every once in awhile and i chop it off. I'm happy that I can pull off short hair and it makes my hair looks so much healthier and fuller! My sister Amanda really wanted me to take pictures of all angles and post them, well this is the best I got. It is sorta an A-line, but I like to say it's a cool bob! A little shorter in the back longer in the front. I love it! it does take a lot longer to style then I'm used to, but I guess it's time i have a grown up hair style. Thanks to my mother n law who bought me a brand new incredible straightener to help with my new style.

Cheap Date

On Friday it was real hot still so the kiddos and my mom came over and we all went swimming for probably the last time this year. it's so much more fun swimming with Grant and Mads then by ourselves. Josh had asked me out on a date earlier that week, so friday night we went out to eat at Goodwood and then a movie. The best part was we didn't spend a dime, unless you count my candy I bought before the movie.

I love my hubby and i'm happy that I get so giddy still when I get dressed up and go out on a real date together! We know that dates are going to be few and and in between when little sonic gets here. if you look closely you can see my little little baby bump!

Baby Sonic

Now that i'm all caught up on my blog postings I thought I would catch up on this baby growing inside of me.

I'm now in my 13th week, doing real good. For a couple of weeks i was real sick all the time, but I think that has past! I had an appointment last week and heard it's heartbeat and everything was great. Grant has nick named the baby Sonic and it has pretty much stuck around. my little belly is growing out, just a bit! I can no longer suck in my lower gut, but i'm still waiting for the day I look little pregnant. No weird cravings yet, just like to eat every few hours. There are some foods I can't eat anymore either do to the texture or taste.
