Perfect Baby

tyson and Amanda had their perfect little boy on Monday afternoon.

7lbs 14oz 20 inches (We weren't expected such a big baby for her)

he's beautiful and chunky and has light brown with a lot of blond hair.

He also has a lot of hair especially on the back side of his head.

Projects

I've felt the need to finish projects before we move out of my parents house. First was to final finish my quilt. I got a burst of energy to get in and get it done. It turned out really good and BIG! I definitely fits our queen size bed. My mom was a huge help and she came up with a super cute border to give it a little character. My mom months ago bought me a huge flower pot and it just sat and sat until one Saturday I got the urge to get it planted before we move out. I think I turned out super cute and I'm excited to put it on our back patio and stare at it all the time.

I still need to sand and paint an old bench that i got from my mom. It's going to go in our entry way so i really want to finish it before the end of the weekend.

I thinks that's all my projects for now. We finally bought a Fridge and Josh and Brent dropped it flat on it's back getting it out of Josh's van. I could only laugh and think that was really the easiest way to get it out.

Jump Creek

on Memorial Day the whole family got together and we were going to go for a picnic and jump creek, but it was a rainy day. So we opted to have the picnic in the house and then we drove out to hike Jump Creek. I don't think I had ever been there before and some of my sisters haven't been there so it was a lot of fun. With the little kiddos with us it made us adults go exploring more into the caves and tunnels. It wasn't as long as I thought, but we still had a ton of laughs and exercise. Amanda and Kole watching safely below. She's due any day now so we thought the hike and climbing rocks would put her in labor. It didn't!

We some how got all the little kids out on this boulder to take there picture. But getting them back safely was more of a challenge. I went out to get Mads and almost fell off a rock, so I handed her to dad and he ending of falling into the water! It was super funny and it was only just over his ankle deep at that point.

it was a beautiful hike and the fall isn't some huge waterfall, but it was still really nice to sit and admire it.



We were all very cautious of poison ivy, even though none of us were sure what it really looked like. So Mads, being the dare devil she is, was carried lots of the way to make sure she didn't touch anything or jump off a rock. And plus she thought she needed to be carried the whole time. :) She loves here Joshy!

Grant and I were on our way to Grandma's house the other day when he tells me that Josh and I should get a dog. I said, " we should, what kind should we get?"

Grant: "you guys should get one that's big and fluffy and one that I can ride on or snuggle with and maybe one that runs real fast."

the imagination that he has. It never makes for a boring car ride with him. He's also great at answering his own questions. :)

I've been waiting to take this good looking family pictures forever!! We had a blast and Kole got a lot of suckers. If you don't know it's my brother and his cute family. Amanda is due to have a baby in a few weeks. YAY! I think we'll be doing another shoot soon :)

I LOVE Grey's Anatomy! all the reruns are on everyday on Lifetime for like 3 hours straight. I know I need for find something else to do with my time, but I'm just so obsessed with the show. I even have some of the season on DVD. Anyways... Last night episode was SO intense! I never gasped or shed a tear more in one show then last night. Is it sad when characters seem to become real people? I'm also obsess with this show

and the ladies of New York.
I seriously need to find something else to do with my time. :)
At least when I'm watching these shows I'm either editing photos or working on my quilt.(some of the time)

Five

Saturday was Gran't 5th birthday! He really wanted just a family party so all the Normans and Jakobsons came over to play. The families all walked over to the baseball field behind their house and all the kids and some adults played baseball. It was a blast and the kids had so much fun.
Happy Birthday Granty! It still amazes me how fast the kiddos are growing up.

Firsts for all

it was our first time returning to OUR house today. We had our home inspection done today.
Our Inspectors being Josh, his Tyson and their uncle Danny (who has some experience in that field). It was great and just as wonderful as I remember it to be a few months ago. We are so excited to get the process moving and get in the house fast.

Then we headed down the street to babysit Grant and Mads. Saturday is his birthday so we figured we would take them to Wahooz. Mads was a little weird and tired. We pulled into the parking lot I take her out of the car and she vomits on my one shoulder and a little on her and the ground. Great. We go in I clean up and we go on playing the games. She was seeming real tired and I figured she'd fall asleep.

We then go to get some awesome prizes with all the tickets we won and Mads vomits onto the glass case and all on my other shoulder, arm and pants and a lot on her. Great. I clean up and she vomits two more times in the bathroom. Poor baby girl, but after that she seemed a lot better and really wanted to play with grant and Kole. Then on the way home we noticed some vomit in OUR car. By the end of the night I really started to smell real bad, but we all had a good laugh and really did enjoy our night. I told Jen the whole story and she said that was the first time ever that the has ever vomited. There's always a first for everything I guess.

I really had a great time taking this families pictures. here are just a couple of MANY great pictures I took. He has the biggest blue eyes I have ever seen. Gorgeous

after I was done editing, I was pretty impressed with myself. There were a ton that turned out really good.

LOVE

I woke up pretty sick on Monday, but was still determined to go out that evening for our anniversary. Josh had made reservations at tuscanos. It was so good, as usual. We decide this year that we had put some money away to buy gifts for each other. josh got me a purple i-pod nano. Super excited to have one now. I got Josh and flip camera(on a super good sale). we was so excited to use it and he was listing off all the things he wants to record including awesome snow ski and wake boarding treats he plans to perfect this year. He's so cute... I love him.
I had forgot to mention that we got a HOUSE!! We found out Saturday and my brother doing mortgages was able to get our paperwork going that same day. It was a short sale and we have been waiting to hear about it for a couple of months It's in our ideal location in Meridian. Our Realtor said that after April 30Th that the banks really are going to sale the short sales fast. well they sure did on our house. We are beyond excited and feel so lucky to have such a great house. pictures to come later. SO EXCITED!

Another year down

Happy Anniversary to us. We've been married now 2 whole years. What a couple of years it has been for us. With moving, jobs, and finding each other in the midst of chaos. I love Josh so much and so blessed to have him in my life. I married my best friend and can't wait to see what the next year surprises bring us.

Happy Mother's day to my WONDERFUL, TALENTED, GENTLE, FUNNY, LOUD, SMART, AMAZING MOM!

I've had such a busy week and I've never had time to catch up on my sleep. So i'm very tired and not feeling so well.

Our anniversary is on Mondy the 10th, but to start it off we went to the Sugarland concert. Sugarland was AWESOME, but the opeing acts were bad! Our cousin Stephanie asked my mom and I if we wanted to participate in the Race for the Cure on Saturday. It again was real early in the morning, but mom and i made it just in time for it to start. Mom was able to catch up with Steph, who she hasn't seen in awhile and Dana and I were able to chat and be goofy. What's new!

Hopefully i'll catch up on my sleep and be re-energized for the upcoming week.

My goal for getting a nice photography camera and lens was to someday be able to take pictures and make a little extra income for when I'm a stay at home mommy. If you don't know me, i have always been the one with a camera in my hands. It's been that way ever since I was little. I love to take pictures and have that memory. So.....on Tuesday night I had my first real photo shoot! there is a family in our ward that asked if I could take their pictures. I was more that shocked and super excited to do them. it was great! I hope to do many more pictures for people, besides my own family, and hopefully get my name out there.

NieNie

I have been reading Stephanie's blog for some time now and each day my heart grows more full for my family and all my blessings. She is and incredible woman and has an incredible faith and testimony in our Savior. He doesn't give us more then what we can handle.

Wedding bells

One of Josh's best friends got married on Sunday. It was a great ceremony with lots of laughs and tears. Kristy looked so beautiful! she entered by coming down a stair case with her long Veil! it took my breathe away. the reception was at the powerhouse downtown Boise. What a cool old brick building. the decorations were pretty and the dancing was awesome. I haven't danced that much in a long time. Everyone was on the dance floor partying it up. I know I've said it before but, we have the greatest friends!

Today is my father n laws birthday. We all went golfing, well Josh, Tyson, Lance and Dana golfed I follow all 18 holes in a cart. That's my kind of golfing driving around trying to catch a tan.

To top off the golfing trip Josh hit his ball around a corner and we lost track of where it went. once we got around the corner we saw that it went through and shattered a car's back window! the guy was really nice about it and hopefully we don't have to pay too much for it. Safe to say he didn't hit very well after that.

Spring Season

Our lives right now are revolving around work( my job is literally driving me CRAZY and a whole other topic i don't want to get into), finding and losing houses, softball, t-ball and watching our niece and nephews.

Grant started t-ball and it's the most entertaining thing to watch. his first game he hit the ball ran to first, stopped for a sec and then took off running straight past first and on into the distance. it was so funny, Jenny and I were laughing so hard. ( he's the onein the middle about ready to throw the ball)

Baby Boe! I've been lucky enough to watch him two Wednesdays in a row. He's just a fun kid. He LOVES his baths and he looks like the gordo baby in this picture. He kinda is though :)

our luck is that every time we find a house it either

has multiple offers already, a short sale(which are the worst) OR already in the process of being bought by someone else.

Yes there are a lot of homes for sale right now, and I think we've seen almost ALL of them.

we are frustrated, but happy that Josh's new job has allowed our budget to increase on a house. Huge Blessing

Maybe one day we'll eventually move out of mom and dad's.

Easter fun

This year the Jakobson family celebrated Easter together. It was really nice having everyone here, I love spending time with my family. East weekend started off with Grant and Mady stayed over Friday and on Saturday we ran to some places and took them to see the chicks and bunnies at DMB. They LOVED it! All the bunnies were sold but they still had a ton of baby chicks for them to hold and see. Before our HUGE Easter feast on Sunday we hid the real eggs and some plastic ones filled with candy and the kiddos had a blast finding them in the yard.

On Friday night Brent, Elena and baby Boe came over and colored eggs with us. We hadn't colored eggs in years so it was fun to get creative again and enjoyed watching what the kids colored.
